INSTALLATION AND SURVEY SERVICE The replacement of bath with walk-in shower or wet room may not be as simple as first envisaged. Careful consideration should be given to connection of waste, due allowance made for depth of waste trap, compatibility of existing service to new ones being fitted. [When gravity flow for waste cannot be affected, we can supply waste water pump]. Installation of an electric shower is relatively simple, provided you have sufficient cold water pressure, you will need to appoint an electrician to undertake work to comply with safety regs. If you select a thermostatic shower to operate off existing hot and cold water system, consideration will need to be given to existing hot and cold tank positions, is a Combi Boiler fitted? Is a power pump required Etc, Etc. Etc. Survey and Design Service Showerworld provide a detailed survey service to cover all the points. Our Surveyor will accurately measure space available and check proposed enclosure will fit having regard for tolerances allowed, and space to be allowed for wall cladding and pipework. Recommended fitting installation and drawing will be provided. You may of course order at prices stated and install yourself or engage a local plumber. We do however, urge you to have a detailed survey of your existing plumbing and particularly your drainage system to ensure the package ordered will fit the space available and connect to existing pipework and waste system. Survey Charges We will provide a detailed survey and provide you with a drawing and fitting instructions, a modest charge is made for this service, however, a full refund against installation package is made, 50% against supply only. Costs depend on distance from our head office in Birmingham, as follows:- Up to 50 miles radius £100.00 + Vat For other Adresses We do not at present cover Scotland or Northern Ireland. Sadly times have changed, if I still operated that way my Bank Manager would think me crazy! Our Terms are now 20% deposit with order, and invoice is then raised for the balance 80% for payment [if by cheque] 5 days before starting. You may, if you prefer pay by credit card [or cash], when goods arrive and work starts. This gives you the opportunity of checking your order before payment.
